    For Upton residents who are self-isolating, please remember that the community shop will deliver food to your door.

    Call the shop on 01493 751827, give them your order, they will ring back with the amount, you pay over the phone with your credit or debit card, they arrange the time for delivery.

    For any intermediate tenure properties (such as shared ownership or shared equity) there is a new Help to Buy agent to register with and gives applicants access to any new build or resales of affordable home ownership products across the district:-

  • New Order re clearing up after your dog

    Public Notice

    A Public Spaces Protection Order has been implemented across the whole of Broadland District requiring those in charge of dogs to clear up after them on all land open to the public.

    The order is in effect as of 1st March 2019.

    The Order applies to the following land:

    All roads and highways

    Public footpaths and verges

    Woodland

    Heath

    Sports and recreations grounds

    Parks and public open spaces

    Agricultural land and common land (unless the land owner has expressed permission to the contrary)

    The maximum penalty for failing to comply with the order is £1,000 and the fixed penalty notice is £100.

  • Rebate on surface water drainage charges

    Several households in the village have been successful in claiming back some money from their Water Company because their surface (rain) water drains into soakaways and does not use the water company’s pipes and drains.
