  • Broadland Older People’s Partnership

    Broadland Older People’s Partnership is an independent body whose membership is open to any Broadland resident aged 55 or over or any Broadland resident who is a carer for an older person.
    Membership is free and new members are very welcome.
    The BOPP’s aims are:
    To challenge, advise and comment on the development of services used by older people To provide a focal point for the different statutory agencies within Broadland to consult and liaise with the representatives (organisations and individuals) of older people To raise the profile of older people within the district

  • AVA

    Acle and District Voluntary Aid (AVA)

    Daycare from 09.00 to 15.00 on Tuesdays in the Methodist Chapel in Bridewell Lane, Acle.

    As part of your day, there’s a 2-course lunch, companionship, tea, coffee and biscuits.

    Access to a hairdresser weekly, and a chiropodist every 6 weeks, comes at an extra cost.

    The Norfolk Deaf Association visits monthly for hearing aid maintenance.

    Transport to and from the meeting can be provided. Referrals are accepted from Acle Medical Centre and Social Services as well as self-referrals.

    Luncheon Club on Wednesdays, from 11 – 1,  includes companionship, tea, coffee, biscuits and a 3-course meal. Transport is available if required.  This luncheon is open to all to join.
