SNAP meeting

The next Acle SNAP (Safer Neighbourhood Area Partnership) meeting takes place at Acle Library on Friday 16th March, 5.30pm. The current priority is ASB in Acle & surrounding villages. Go along & have your say.

Consultation on Greater Norwich Local Plan – Acle roadshow on 26th January

The Greater Norwich Local Plan (GNLP) is being produced by Broadland District Council, Norwich City Council and South Norfolk Council working together with Norfolk County Council through the Greater Norwich Development Partnership (GNDP)

The vision for Greater Norwich to 2036 is: To grow vibrant, healthy communities supported by a strong economy and the delivery of homes, jobs, infrastructure and an enhanced environment.

There is the opportunity to look at the maps and papers on 26 Jan (2pm-8pm) at Acle Recreation Centre, NR13 3RA

Budget

At the meeting on 4th January 2018 the parish council agreed to increase the precept by 5%. This means a charge to an average Band D home of £29.73 for the year for parish council costs.

No Cold Calling Zone for Upton – Update

Following a letter drop by Norfolk County Council, 69% of the households in the village have supported the designation of the village as a No Cold Calling Zone.

We need at least 75% of households to support the scheme.
